de J. L-D. ? Bien entendu je
laisse le Pater repondre!
Christian Raoul Duval a ete
grievement blessè dans L'Est.
Amputation de la Jambe droite
parait il.
J-C. Leer a deux eclats de
grenade dans les omoplates. Va
bien.
Tout le monde ici m'a
chargè de voeux pour vous.
J'ai passè le reveillon à la
Section Auto. Uniquement CRF.
3 conductrices , Anne Marie Lechevallier
qui est infermière et quatre equipes
masculins dont v/ fils. Naturellement
on a beaucoup chantè. Les Cosaques
du Don n'existent plus à cote
de la Croix Rouge.

I spent the eve in the
Section Auto. Specifically CRF.
3 female drivers , Anne Marie Lechevallier
who is a nurse and four masculine
teams of which yr/ son. Naturally
we sang a lot. The Cossacks
of the Don don't exist anymore on the side
of the Red Cross.
Here it rains and it is cold


Donc bouillasse; Les Americains
ont le cafard et le montrent.
Nous sommes toujours en etat de
siège . Le couvre feu a ete ramenè
à 22.30 au lieu de 24 . Tous
les militaires ne sortent plus
qu' armès etc...
Les convois de materiel passent
sans arrêt , camions , chars lourds
etc....
Les sous marins allemands ont
refait leur apparition parait il jusqu'en
baie de Seine. Ils sont increvables
decidement . Quoique j'ai l'impression
que s'il y avait . plus de Francais
sur le front et mieux armès cela
irait plus vite .
A part cela , vie monotone et sans
incidents.

So the mud. The Americansc
have the cockroach and show it.
We are still in a state of
siege . The curfew had been brought
to 22.30 instead of 24 . All
the military personnel don't get out anymore
but with armed etc....
The materiel convoys pass by
without stopping , trucks, heavy tanks
etc....
The german submarines
remade their appearance it seems until the
Seine Bay. They are decidedly
indestructible . Although I have the impression
that if there had been more Frenchmen
on the front and better armed this
would go even faster .
Besides that , monotone life and without
incidents.
