World War II

22 October 1943 - Assignment to V Corps

On 22 October the division was assigned to V Corps, which was part of the First Army[1].

14 April 1944

On 14 April 1944, the division was reassigned to XX Corps, Third Army, [1].

24 April 1944

On 24 April it was assigned to the Third Army, but attached to First Army[1]. What this exactly differed and meant isn't exactly clear.

26 July 1944

On 26 July the division was reassigned to XIX Corps[1].

30 July 1944

On 30 July the division was part of XIX Corps, part of First Army[1].

1 August 1944

On 30 July the division was part of XIX Corps, part of First Army, which was now part of 12th Army Group[1].

28 August 1944

The 29th was reassigned to V Corps[1].

19 November 1944

The division was reassigned now to VIII Corps, part of Third Army, part of 12th Army Group[1].

5 January 1945

The 29th on this day would have been ordered to be part of the Oise Section, Communications Zone, for supply, but still part of the same Corps, army, and army group[1]. It is probable that they just planned to do resupply for the day.

6 January 1945

The division on this day was assigned to VIII Corps, Third Army, 12th Army Group[1].

8 January 1945

The division on this day was assigned part of Third Army, 12th Army Group[1].

9 January 1945

The division on this day would have been ordered to be reassigned to Fifth Army, part of 12th Army Group[1].

16 January 1945

On this day, while still being in Fifteenth Army, 12th Army Group, the division was attached to Seventh Army, part of 6th Army Group[1].

20 January 1945

On this day the division was reassigned to French II Corps[1].

14 February 1945

On this day the division was in the Fifteenth Army, but was attached to Seventh Army, 6th Army Group[1].

19th February 1945

On this day the division was part of the 12th Army Group[1].

21th February 1945

On this day the division became part of V Corps, First Army, 12th Army Group[1].
