Chers Parents
Bien reçu l'Epitre N° I datèe
de Capvern.
Heureux de vous savoir
arriver sans trop de fatigues.
Evidemment ce ne doit pas être
folichon. Qu'en dit Marie et
ses desirs de bombes. D'aprés
la description cela doit être
difficile.
Rien de special sauf une
très jolie excursion à Sigmaringen
par la vallèe du Danube , en Jeep.
Au passage nous avons visitè un
convent benedictin baroque à
Beuron (biblioteque spendide!) Le
Danauthal est une merveille. Entre
deux à-pics calcaires couverts de
forêts coule un Danube encore

Les à- pics couverts de forêts me laissent reveur
en relisant. C'est pourtant tel quel. Rapportez vous
les Gorges du Yarn. C'est un peu le même genre
en plus sauvage.

Well received Epistle N° I dated
from Capvern.
Funny to know it from you all
to arrive without many headaches.
Obviously this must not be
exciting. What does Marie say about it and
her desires of bombs. Telling from
the description this must be
difficult.
Nothing special except a
very beautiful excursion to Sigmaringen
by the Danube valley , in Jeep.
On route we visited a
benedictine baroque convent in
Beuron (splendid library!) The
Danauthal is a marvel. Between
two limestone peaks covered in
forests flows a Danube encore

The peaks covered in forests leaves me dreaming
while rereading. It is however as it. Bring yourselves back to
the Gorges du Yarn. It's a bit of the same kind
but more wild.


assez modeste . De temps en
temps des ruines de chateau
ou des chateaux intacts.
Puis le debouchè sur Signe aringen
avec le chateau baroque des
Hohenzollern où flotte un immense
drapeau français. Aux portes des
marocains , turban blanc, ceinturon
blanc sur ceinture rouge . La ville
elle - même a beaucoup moins de
cachet que Tubingen ou Rottveil.
Nous sommes rentrè par une
petite vallèe via Ebingen et Rottveil.
Le colon etait ravi et moi aussi.
Je m'entends toujours bien avec lui.
Je n'y comprends rien , les autres
non plus.

Je vais peut-être avoir le
privilege de bibliothecaire adjoint du
Regiment!!!


 A Beuron le Pere Superieur après m'avais demandè
si j'etais l'aumonier du Regiment m'a ensuite bombardé
" Herr Adjutant". Le colonel ètait en Z. Je n'ai pas fini d'en
entendre parler!

time some castle ruins
or ruins of castles intact.
Then the end in Signe aringen
with the baroque castle of the
Hohenzollern where floats an imense
french flag. At the doors some
Marocains , white turbans, white
sword belt on red waistband . The city
itself had a lot less
prestige than Tubingen or Rottveil.
We came back by a
little valley via Ebingen and Rottveil.
The colonel was delighted and so was I.
I still get along with him well.
I don't get it , the others
neither.

I am going to maybe have the
privilage of co-librarian of the
Regiment!!!


 In Beuron the Highest Father after having asked me
if I was the chaplain of the Regiment then started calling me
" Herr Adjutant". The colonel was in Z. I have not finished
hearing about it!
