Chers Parents
Ci-joint photo des 3/4 de l'effectif
des equipes Mobiles ! Nous ne sommes pas
frais , frais ! Ce n est pas le soleil qui
nous fais cligner les yeux , c'est la
fumèe des incendies d'antan  ! Personellement
mes yeux ont suppurè du pus pendant
trois jours après le 5 sept . Vers la fin
nous avions scalpès des lunettes mais
elles s'embuaient trop vite .
Reçu carte de J. qui m'a fait
payer 2.40. (Pétain n'etant plus admis
à figurer) Il piaffe lui aussi. La seule
consolation que je puisse lui offrir, c'est
qu'il n'est pas le seul. J'attends toujours!!!
et on dit que l'on manque de sanitaires
sur le front . Il y a de quoi bouillir
Bureau. Vaussard revient de Paris et
dit que les perspectives sont encourageantes
arrivages- debut de l annèe
Procuration. Cela commence à friser le
manque de confiance . Elles servent pour
le moment pour les differentes affaires
et dossiers : pillage , sinistre etc...
Comme elle n'est pas valable pour
T & Cie je ne peux pas signer . Par
consèquent tu n'as pas à t'inquieter
des initiatives que je pourrai prendre...

Dear Parents
Attached here photo of the 3/4 of the effective
of the Équipes Mobiles ! We are not
fresh , fresh ! It is not the sun which
is making us wince our eyes , it is the
smoke of the fires of yesteryear ! Personally
my eyes festered puss during
three days after the 5 sept . Towards the end
we had scalped glasses but
they fogged up too fast .
Received card from J. who made me
pay 2.40. (Pétain not being admitt to be
featured anymore) He also chirps him as well. The only
consolation that I could offer him, it is
that he isn't the only one. I still wait!!!
and we are saying that they lack sanitarians
on the front . There's enough to boil
Office. Vaussard comes back from Paris and
says that the perspectives are encouraging
arrivals- start of the year
Procuration. This starts to twist the
lack of confidence. They serve for
the moment for the different affairs
and files : looting , disaster etc...
As she is not viable for
T & Cy I can not sign . By
consequence you are not to worry youself
of the initiatives that I could take...

11 Nov. Sinistre. Pluie - boue - ruines
Nous avons defile et assistè (à la place
d'honneur immediatement après les
autoritès) aux 5 cultes . Le seul où il
n'y ait pas en de quête;c'est l'israelite...
Les Americàins (il n'y a plus qu'une
vigntaine d' Anglais ici , ceux des Civils
Affairs) abusent . Les femmes n'osent plus
sortir la nuit car elles sont attaquèes
par les noirs . Le Havre-Libre nous a appris
ce matin que le tambour major du 129
a ete tuè d'un coup de revolver et sa
femme brutalisèe , blessèe et violèe par
des noirs. Il y a 3 ou 4 viols par
semaine . Les americains ne sont d'ailleurs
pas très sympathiques. Les Anglais sont
des gentlemen. Il parait que les Ecossais
vont revenir ici au repos. Tout le monde
est ravie. C'est la 52e qui a pris le Havre
avec d'autres divisions anglaises , et ils
etaient très sympathiques. Ils nous avaient
même donnè un taboo avec les Massed
Pipes and drums de la divisions. Esperons
qu'ils recommenceront.
Il doit y avoir une exposition
philatelique. Vous aurez les details dès
que Hugues me les donnera. Il cherche
un local ...

Pour le 3% nous n'avons pas de B.d.T. à echeance et nous devrons garder de la liquiditè . La plupart sinon la totalitè des
Maisons de la Place sont ds le même cas.

11 Nov. Disaster. Rain - fog - ruines
We marched and assisted (in the Place
d'Honneur immediately after the
authorities) to the 5 churches . The only one where
there is no quest;it is the israelite...
The Americans (there isn't more than
twenty English here , those of Civil
Affairs) abuse . The women don't dare anymore
to leave at night because they are attacked
by the blacks . Le Havre-Libre taught us
this morning that the drum major of the 129
had been killed by a revolver shot and his
wife brutalized , wounded and raped by
some blacks. There are 3 or 4 rapes per
week . The americans moreover are not
very nice. The English are
some gentlemen. It appears that the Scots
are going to come back here on leave. Everyone
is thrilled. It is the 52nd which took Le Havre
with other english divisions , and they
were very nice. They even gave
us a taboo with the Massed
Pipes and drums from the divisions. We hope
that they will start again.
There must be a philatelic
exposition. You all will have the details as soon
as Hugues will give them to me. He searches
a local ...

For the 3% we don't have any B.d.T. to deadline and we must keep some cash-flow. The majority if not the totality of the
houses of the Place are in the same state.
