Operation Bodyguard was the deception operation conducted by the Allies during WWII before and during the D-Day invasion.

Operation Bodyguard
5 to 6 June 1944
Operation Taxable began when the 617 RAF Squadron, commanded by Captain Cheshire, dropped dummy parachutists near Boulogne, while also dropping tens of thousands of radar-jamming metal strips to create a radar screen for a supposed large convoy heading towards the Pas-de-Calais[1].
Operation Titanic was another deception operation conducted under Bodyguard in which two parachute teams would conduct an airborne drop southeast of Omaha Beach in order to make the Germans think that this was a major airborne drop[2].
Operation Glimmer was also a deception operation under Bodyguard in which there would be air attacks on German fortifications in the Pas-de-Calais[3].
